I love the happiness, the surprise, the smiles my work brings to every face that lays eyes on these unusual hand-crafted bespoke sculptures; and how special, loved, and cared for, the recipients of these rare gifts feel. Using real eggshells as my canvas, I love taking you on a beautiful journey and experience with me from the beginning to the end.
These eggshells sculptures will make for very unusual and sentimental gifts on special occasions for your loved ones when they are celebrating the Birth of a new baby and Christenings to Birthdays, Anniversaries, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Weddings, and more. I truly believe that Eggs are not just for Easter and serve as very thoughtful and ornamental souvenirs and keepsakes for loved ones, all year round.
My Journey
I have always been creative at heart. Growing up, I loved poetry and art more than I did science and math. By the age of 19, I won The International Poet Of Merit Award, and a silver cup, from the International Society of Poets in Maryland, the US, and had my poems published in a book called ‘A Moment In Eden’, amongst other celebrated poets around the world. I was always attracted to the unusual since the beginning, from little things like ordering something very different from a menu at a restaurant ( a dish that I couldn't even pronounce the name of ) to choosing 3D Character Animation for my Master's degree (from the University of Kent) and working as a Games animator.
Family means the most to me. Love and relationships hold the utmost importance in my life. I cherish friendships and hold them close to my heart. For me, it was (and still is) always about the thought that counts, as do little gestures of kindness towards loved ones and strangers alike. On Birthdays, finding a gift that my friends and family would love and cherish for years was always something I enjoyed doing. I loved gifting them the perfect present that would be unique and just as meaningful to them as their friendship is to me.
During my wedding we were looking for very unusual gifts, 'never seen before, to personalise for our families. I couldn't find anything that would pull at my heartstrings and had to settle with what was available at the time.

I was raised in a business family, my parents owned a successful business for 30+ years. Papa and mama have always been my biggest supporters, and I still look to my mama for business advice. Sadly, my father passed away 8 years ago from ALS. His passing changed the course of my dreams and aspirations, from pursuing a career in animation to the desire to follow in his footsteps and this eventually motivated me to lay the foundation for Hatchfully Yours. I know deep inside, my father wanted this for me.
Papa's passing affected me deeply and I give back a percentage of every commission and sale to the ALS research through the MND Association, to support the efforts to find a cure for this devastating disease of the motor neurons.
Character Animation to Luxury Retail in Harrods
I landed my first ever retail job in Harrods while I was in between Animation contracts. Looking back, Harrods was the best thing that ever happened to me in the last 6 years.
Working in the chocolate room in Harrods and creating beautiful gift hampers, sparked a burning desire within me to create something unique and never. seen before, to serve brides to be (remembering how as a bride once myself, I was unable to find unusual gifts for the family during my wedding). I couldn't quite put a finger on what it would be at the time, but just felt it within my heart that I was destined for something more.
I feel grateful for my journey this far, for all the amazing experiences, and opportunities that I've had. The saying 'Man proposes, God disposes' comes to mind when I reflect back. While I was dreaming and working hard to become an animator, God had very different plans for me. I now live a life of abundance and gratitude!

Why Eggs?
One Easter afternoon, a few years ago, my friends challenged me to try and empty an eggshell without cracking it. We tried toothpicks, my mum's knitting needles, an old rusty drill lying in the garage, you name it. All we were left with, was a stinking mess in the backyard and lots of cracked eggshells!! This experiment got my attention and I went on to research how to do this. That opened up a new world of egg art from artists and craftsmen around the world and I was spellbound. 𝐈 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 !! Hand carvings on eggshells 𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐲 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 and started me on a journey of practice, patience, and new discoveries.
If these eggshell sculptures pull at your heartstrings too and you'd like to have a chat with me, do get in touch. I would love to hear from you.
